Full-stack Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
The recent emergence of the cybersecurity concept Secure Across Service Edge (SASE), is a reaction to the security and access control needs of digital organisations. Their demand for immediate, uninterrupted access for their users, no matter their location has necessitated a new approach for network security that existing solutions no longer provide.
First referred to by Gartner in 2019, the enforced changes to working patterns brought about by Covid-19 has accelerated the need for IT organisations to adopt a SASE approach to security and access.
As Gartner state, "traditional perimeter-based approaches to securing anywhere, anytime access has resulted in a patchwork of vendors …creating complexity for security administrators and users".
Gartner's 2021 Strategic Roadmap for SASE Convergence suggests that by 2025 at least 60% of enterprises will have explicit strategies and timelines for SASE adoption, up from 10% in 2020. To exploit this trend and ensure you sustain a market-leading position it is important to have a credible SASE solution for your customers.
Trend Micro and Forcepoint are market leaders in their respective areas and when combined they provide a go-to full-stack SASE solution.
