As a result of new changes to Microsoft CSP contracts, over the next few years many businesses are going to be moving from a direct to an indirect CSP model. That means many CSPs are now facing the transition and asking themselves several questions:
- How do you move from a direct to an indirect CSP contract?
- How do you know who is the right Indirect provider for you?
- What do you need to know to make the transition?
Big changes in the CSP world
Microsoft have recently announced that big changes over the course of 2021 will affect the ongoing contracts of many direct CSP providers. To be phased in over the next twelve months, CSPs who spend less than $300,000 in revenue each year will have to buy their licenses through a third-party. In short, that means in 2021 many providers will have to transition to the indirect approach. Those moving to this indirect CSP model will have to form a trading relationship within an Indirect Provider.
If you’re moving to an Indirect Microsoft CSP model, you might be worried about what the future holds. But you don’t have to be. Choosing the right CSP partner can put you on a accelerated path to grow your CSP business.
