Five Years Out – the end of AI
In the year 2028 we will no longer talk about artificial intelligence. By that time the AGI’s, artificial general intelligences, will have been implemented everywhere and as with all good technology it will be seamlessly incorporated in our every day lives.

For the technology industry this means we now must tackle challenges like regulatory and legal frameworks put in place to make sure the systems, platforms and services that run these AGI’s are safe.

EMEA Business Development Manager AI Platform Solutions, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Hi Jeppe, what do you do at work?

I work as a Business Development Manager Artificial Intelligence Platforms at HPE. My team and I assist clients in harnessing the full potential of their IT investments to achieve optimal business outcomes, primarily in the field of high-performance computing with a specific focus on the dynamic realm of AI.

What, in your opinion, is the most groundbreaking technological breakthrough that has taken place in the past five years?

AI did not come as a surprise, but the speed at which it accelerated with ChatGPT was unexpected by any measure. If someone claims to have seen it coming, I will not believe them. We are right in the middle of one of those rare pivotal events in history where technology changes how we live our lives in a profound way.

What do you think will be the most significant change that will happen in the next five years?

This new technology will blend into our everyday lives and AI will be an integrated part of everything we do. We will no longer see it as AI but as an extension of ourselves. This is both scary and mind-blowing and requires a lot of thought.

Can you give us a quick preview of what you will talk about?

I will speak about the AI phenomenon, how the rapid technological development impacts our organizations, and how to control AI to make it safe. We have been talking about data as the new gold for some time and AI is a great tool for unlocking the value of data. But to achieve trustworthy and credible results, we all face the challenge of ensuring the quality of the data that we feed our models.
