The event will be arranged in a hybrid format, meaning that you can attend it either in person at Scandic Aviacongress or virtually online. The main event will be held on Thursday May 12th, and the virtual event platform will be opened a few weeks earlier. Please note that we will limit the amount of participants on-site to max 50% of the venue's capacity, so we recommend to register NOW in order to secure your seat for the in person event.

Esko Valtaoja, avaruustähtitieteen emeritusprofessori

Esko Valtaoja on tähtitieteen emeritusprofessori Turun yliopistosta, entinen Tuorlan observatorion johtaja ja taidegallerian apulainen. Hän on arvostettu tieteentekijä ja myös kiitetty tieteellisen tiedon popularisoija. Tämän myötä hän onkin suomalaisten suosikkitutkija: vuonna 2013 hänet nimettiin merkittävimmäksi elossa olevaksi suomalaiseksi tieteentekijäksi Tieteen tiedotus ry:n tilaamassa kyselyssä. Valtaoja on saanut mm. Tieto-Finlandian, Valtion Tiedonjulkistamispalkinnon, Lauri Jäntin palkinnon, Väinö Voipio -palkinnon, Mensan palkinnon, Sokrates-palkinnon, ja kahdesti Vuoden Kristillinen Kirja -palkinnon.

Rik Ferguson, Vice President of Security Research • Trend Micro

Rik Ferguson is one of the leading experts in information security. He is also a Special Advisor to Europol EC3, and a project leader with the International Cyber Security Protection Alliance (ICSPA). In April 2011 Rik was inducted into the Infosecurity Hall of Fame.

As a lead spokesperson for Trend Micro, Rik is actively engaged in research into online threats and the underground economy. He also researches the wider implications of new developments in the Information Technology arena and their impact on security both for consumers and in the enterprise.
